How easy is it to advertise on a bus?

We try to make advertising on a bus quite easy. The main things to remember when doing any advertising are:

Why advertise on a bus?

If you want to reach a local audience in a very visible way, then bus advertising may be the perfect vehicle.

There are 4 ways to advertise on a bus:

Full bus wrap – the sides and the back are fully wrapped (excluding some windows)
Mega Back – the whole of the back of the bus is covered (including some or all of the back window, this sometimes has to be in a product called ‘contra-vision’ which allows the driver to see out)
Back Panel – this is usually an oblong shaped panel on the engine cover
Side panel – like the back panel but available on either side of the bus

Which Routes can I advertise on?

All the buses we work on operate from Fleetwood in the North and Lytham in the South and as far as Preston in the East. This means you can cover:

As well as the outlying rural villages

This means that you will get superb coverage and we will work with you to find the correct package to suit your needs.

Sometimes it is possible to advertise on a specific route although due to the need for regular maintenance and breakdowns it is often more likely that we can select a series of routes. Because all the buses we deal with are based on the Fylde Coast we can usually find a way to accommodate your requirements. Please bear in mind routes do change due to road closures and building work.

How much does it cost to advertise on a bus?

As you would expect the prices vary depending on the amount of time you book for the minimum time period is a month but the most popular length is 3 months, though many companies take advantage of the discounts offered for a year.

Below is a table with the rates we can secure for advertising on the independent bus companies operating on the Fylde. We can obtain prices for the Council operated services though you will expect to pay 50% more for these routes. These prices are for a single bus though multiple buses can be booked.

The prices for the above include one artwork draft from specification, production, fitting and the rental. Contra-vision cannot be used on the windows nearest the driver as this can impair the drivers’ vision.

The vinyl we use for wrapping should under normal circumstances last at least 12-15 months but often can be longer.

As the bus needs to be off the road during the installation process this is often undertaken at weekends when the schedules are less busy.

How easy is it to do artwork for a bus?

There are several ways you can supply your artwork including using your advertising agency. Because every bus is slightly different, we suggest you talk to us as soon as you are planning any advertising so we can help with the siting of images around things like air vents and number panels.

If you need us to help with the artwork, we will produce a draft included within the price panel shown.
